An OFFICE MEMORANDUM has been issued by DOP&T Today regarding calculation of Vacancies of Steno Grade ‘C’(PA) earmarked for filling up through direct recruitment since 2003.

       

   A proforma has been enclosed  with this and seeking information regarding Vacancies of Steno Grade ‘c’(PA)  earmarked for filling up through direct recruitment since 2003.All the cadre  units are requested to ensure that the requisite information is furnished to  DOP&T by 31.5.2010.Further it has been informed that in the absense of this  information,Department of Personnel and Training is unable to proceed  further with regular appointment of steno Grade ‘C’(PA). This will result  non-filling of vacancies in the respective cadre units.As such,The DOP&T  reiterates that the information may be furnished on “TOP PRIORITY”

Subject:- Model RRs for Stenographer Grade 11 post in non-Secretariat Organizations.

A reference is invited to this Department OM of even no. dated 10th March, 20 10 enclosing the Model RRs for the post of Stenographer Grade I1 in Non-secretariat Organizations.

2. The matter relating to Skill Test norms for recruitment to the post of Stenographer has been considered. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct all skill tests in typing and transcription of stenography 'only on computers' from the Financial Year 2010-1 1 onwards. Accordingly, the  entries pertaining to Skill Test Norms prescribed in the Col. 8 of the Model RRs for the post of Stenographer Grade I1 may be modified to include the Skill Test Norms 'only on computers' . All the MinistriesIDepartments are, therefore, requested to amend the M s for the posts of Stenographer Grade I1 accordingly.

3. Ministry of Home Affairs etc. @re requested to bring the contents of this OM to the notice of their attachedlsubordiqate offices also.

Result of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Departmental Examination

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final result of Stenographer
Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2008. SSC had conducted
the examination on 17.08.2008 for their selection in the Stenographer Grade ‘C’
in different cadres. Against 695 candidates applied for the said examination,
581 appeared in the examination. 85 candidates have been declared successful in
the said examination. The service-wise break-up of the successful candidates are
as under :

Progression Scheme

In supression of this Department's O.M. of even number dated 12th January ,
2010, the undersigned is directed to say that it has been further clarified by
Establishement (D) section of this Department that DR Assistant /DR Grade 'C'
Stenographers who have got Non- Functional grade (NFG) in the grade pay of Rs.
5400/ - would only be entitled for 3rd financial upgradation in the immediate
higher grade pay of Rs. 6600 /- on completion of 30 years of continous service
or on completion of 10 years stagnation in a single grade pay, whichever is
earlier. No further financial upgradation would be admissible to such officials.


All the cadre/sub-cadre authorities are requested to deal with such cases
accordingly.
