CBSE to introduce international syllabus in select schools abroad

  1. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to introduce international curriculum on a pilot basis for a few selected schools abroad from the academic session 2010-11 in classes I and
    IX.
  2. It provides, inter-alia, flexibility in social science and languages. Other features include perspectives on
    building opinions, critical thinking module, life skill, research project and community service.
  3. This will widen the choices for students to obtain admission to higher educational institutions in different parts of the world. It will also attract the students of International community to avail of Indian education.
  4. The advantages of the new curriculum and capacity enhancement of teachers are expected to motivate students. There is no proposal to introduce the international curriculum in the schools in India during 2010-2011.
  5. This information was given by the Minister of State for Human Resource Development Smt. D. Purandeswari, in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha yesterday

CBSE syllabus are international certified board.Board exams are very difficult to face by students and it is highly inflamative. International Schools in South Bangalore
